What is normal commsion rate for tint?

Rama,

I'd pay anything he wants provided he gets the profit in the job to make it possible to do that.

30 years ago I started just like that selling flat glass film on commission only. That was friggin hard but I came to realise very soon that the more gross I made out of each deal, the more I got in the back pocket.

Consequently, if I sold a job at $2 I'd get a certain small % but if I changed my thinking to $4 on the same deal then the rest is elementary.

Try and nut it out with him, explain your position and see what he says. Just keep in mind that you want to be happy with the extra % paid as long as he pulls his wait and doesn't disadvantage you.

if they are his leads then he should get 23% or 25 but if they are your leads then it should be in the ballpark of 15%. dood I worked for wanted to give 5-10 for his leads and only 10 for my own leads.

If you got 10% for your own self generated leads V, why not get 100% and do them yourself? I would! :woowoo:krazy

I used to Devil, but I can't keep everything together anymore. Someone has to manage the company. I can't do sales, management, marketing and everything else that has to be done on my own. We have 5 employees plus the two of us owners. Can't hit the pavement all day and still manage to do everything else. Just too much.

23% is way to high IMO.

We pay our reps a base salary plus a comission of 10%. They get a truck and all vehicle exp. covered, plus the usual cell phone etc.

They also have goals to meet throughout the year that will give them more $ if they do reach them.
