So I am tinting a nice Vette the other day, and I am giving the bottom of the doors one last finger check. I walk from pass side to driver, and extension cord gets caught on the tire. I give it a good tug...... nothing. I give it a huge tug, cord comes unglued, sending heat gun smashing into the window!!!!!! DOH!!!!! I got lucky cuz it didn't scratch the glass, but man it put a huge "seatbelt" ding in that film. :woowoo told him it would cure out. just kiddin I had to redu it of course.

REALLY gotta suck to be you!!!!(just kidding) I hate it when that happens! I once spent about 30 minutes shrinking the rear window of a 240 sx (I think) and as I was giving the bottom one last swipe of the squegee, I tore the film with my watch :woowoo Never wore jewelry again while working :lol

my personal favorite heat gun story... same intro. the ol last once around checking for fingers. had a card between the teeth, blade in one hand, gun in the other. so ya needed a free hand for the card in my mouth to smash out a finger. what should you do?

a) put the blade in my pouch or pocket. grab card with that free hand?

b) put the gun down. grab card with that free hand?

c) put the hot gun under your arm, suffer a 2nd deree burn in your armpit and send the customer off in a car with a slight hint of burnt armpit hair, because you USED to look like you had buckwheat in a headlock.

in a hurry, I went with C. amazing how you dont think when you are in a hurry.
