Guest Key West
I take my film and trim the curve at the bottom of the windshield. that curve USUALLY follows the curve of the top of the glass,or close to it. Then I bring it up to the top and finish. Sometimes it take a 10" piece, so I CHARGE for them. usually double the regular price. I hate friggin' eyebrows anyway. tint_detective
I use the 'bow guide' Dave showed me, works pretty good. Most people around here seem to want a straight line across the bottom, which looks as if it is curved down on both sides. Not many seem to want to follow the w/shield curve. Guest Braud Spectrum
I cheat like this. It's an antique but it works. The strip is magnetic, I just use an old endcap to draw a rough guide first to the as1 mark from the center on each side on the windshield with a sharpie. THen finish on the plate at the table. Guest Braud Spectrum
Wow, that looks like a chunk of battleship Iron!!! However, looks like it would work pretty dang good. [*]277749 It's thin and flexible kinda like a hand saw blade. I believe it is galvenized sheet metal. Originally baked enamel finish was on it but continuous cutting of strips back in the old days wore it out, so I scraped it off both sides with a four inch scraper to get more life out of it AND because I paid 129 bucks for the thing (The Invisiseam) ...I wanted my moneys worth. Occasionally, I have to sand it down just to be sure it doesn't get grooves that make me get off track in it from pressing too hard with the olfa.
