20 yrs since the death of my Mom

Recommended Posts

I wrote this my Junior year....

There she lay so silently,

cold, pale, dressed to a "T".

Her eyes are closed for good,

I want to cry but I don't think I should.

Her heart has stopped I don't know why,

Yes, I am starting to cry.

Why did she have to die.

Now they are closing the door to her eternal bed.

Not because we don't want to see her anymore,

but so she can rest her pale head.

Yes, I'll miss her while she sleeps in her eternal bed.

Please let her rest her head.

For she is tired, for she is dead.

I miss you Mom!

I hear ya V. it will be a year next week since my mom passed and I too have been thinking alot about her the closer it gets. Especially now that spring is here and the flowers and shrubs we planted outside the big bay window in her room are coming out and starting to bud. Its hard sometimes and I still get up in the morning and look into where her bed was to check on her sometimes and she's not there :dunno

Nice poem :dunno
