F1 comfort vs. pinnacle

I'm looking to purchase tint for my black Mustang Cobra (2004) and need professional advice.

I've had ultimate 38 series on silver and white cars, but want a blacker look for this car. In the forumla one line, I guess that leaves comfort and pinnacle. How big is the quality difference between the two?

My local shop does not sell much Pinnacle at all and recommends the comfort series. I really do trust them, but I'm concerned about the dye / color-shift in that series. How long has this series been around? How long will the color last? I know the heat/light rejection differences, but is one clearer than the other?

Notes:

* I do not have GPS or an antenna in the back glass.

* I want to be between 32% and 35% light transmission

* Another F1 dealer in town recommended the Pinnacle and sells a lot of it. Pinnacle 50 would be too light, but Pinnacle 35 would be !llegal.

Can you guys help me out?

Thanks

If both films fall under the FormulaOne branding, I don't understand the question of which is of better quality? :wall:lol2

One is a color-stable dye / metal deposition construction the other is a color-stable / infrared absorbing (component) deposition.

Pick the one that looks best on the vehicle and be done with it. :lol6

Pinnacle is best for retaining maximum electronic equipment reception and transmission capabilities.

:lol2 If I as a dealer carries and sells one particular film more so than another, two things come to mind: 1) I am making the choice for you and/or 2) It's a matter of wallet economics at my end. :lol6

Thanks for the replies. I'll take your advice and pick what looks the best and not worry about color-shift.

I did find it interesting that one dealer pushed pinnacle hard, and the other told me it was a marketing gimmick and they haven't sold it in months. Their prices are the same, so you would think the profit margin would be the same.

Every tinter/company out there has their favorite film. Nothing too crazy about that.

I don't believe the films you mentioned are priced the same... my feeling is the Pinnacle is more costly than the Comfort. Pinnacle is made specifically to address electronic signal issues.

Good luck with your decision... :music

its a question on what you want and how you want your car to look like? do you like it shiny? dark? light?

there is so many questions that you have answer yourself that way when you go to your installer you give him an idea of what your are looking for.

people who carry those particular brands have to be professionals so im sure you wont have a problem selecting which one you'd prefer.
