I saw the tip on removal of the quarter window glass for this car in the Honda section of the forum and yesterday I did one of these and for some reason the quarter glass did NOT come out without taking the door panel off. I had to remove the door panel because there was a 10mm bolt I had to loosen for the post to come out. Can someone tell me if I am doing something wrong because I don't see how any other way for that post to come out when there is that bolt in it . Thanks is advance.

yeah, you did it wrong. the post doesn't come out. go back and read what I wrote again. I never mentioned removing the door panel and removing a bolt.

I did one today and both of them popped out very easily, took out the torx screw, pulled the window rubber out, pulled the pillar to the side, and the glass pulled right out.

putting it back together was a different story, but it looked really good when it was all done.

there's a reason why I didn't give instructions for putting the glass back in. :lol and looks like you now know. :music

OK that's what I did wrong. Originally I tried it without removing the door panel but I was having a hard time getting the window to come out. It would move back and forth but I was unable to get it to come out all the way. I think what I did wrong was that I did not pull it towards me 2 inches like you said. I'll try that on the next one. Thank you.

and it only take a few more seconds to pull the panel..

it only takes a few seconds to pull your pants off too. but you gonna pull them off just to wipe your azz? :bs

:bs

actually, it doesn't matter. you should be removing the panel to felt the gaskets anyway. (unless the customer decides not to pay for that)
