how much to charge to felt gasket?

Have any of you guys had any customers not believe that this needed to be done and if so how do yo prove it?

most of my customers don't believe me and choose not to do it, because you know, I'm a tinter and I don't know my azz from a hole in the ground.

I tell them not to come back complaining about it when it scratches. but a couple have sucked up their pride and returned later to have it done.

One of the gate security guys where I work had his Dodge truck tinted by me a couple months ago... got a call Friday, his tint is scratched up. Says I put on a film with no scratch resistant coating. Guess that guard thought he knew a little something about film since he guards a place that makes it. What he doesn't know is the place he guards doesn't make ANY non-SR automotive film.

If it were me, I'd be charging a butt load... this is one of those situations where you have them by the bizallls... or they can always go beg the auto dealership for new weatherstrips.

um. free. it's supposed to be $20/door. we keep screwing up and scheduling/quoting cars without realizing they need felt.

then when they're in... mike will just felt them anyway. Mike pulls panels on almost anything, so it's not THAT big of a deal to do it, and I'd feel like a real twit saying... 'oh, I'm going to have to add $80 to that quote I gave you over the phone... I didn't realize a 2003 accord and a 2004 accord were the same body style. oh... and did you want us to take out the rear quarter windows? $$$$'
