Clifford IG6000 Trouble with Door Locks

I installed a Clifford IG6000 about 2 years ago and it has worked perfectly until about a month ago. Now when I use the remote to arm/lock it arms but does not lock. It disarms/unlocks just fine. I tried the car's electric lock button and it locks and unlocks the doors just fine. I think the problem is in one of the relays or the alarm's master control module. I hope it is just a relay. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, the alarm has falsed several times when the car is parked outside in the cold weather. Cliffnet Wizard indicates the proximity sensor triggered 5 times. I've seen other posts that indicate cold weather is triggering these. Is this a trend with this model?

What kind of car is it installed in? Did you check the connection from the alarm/lock output to the vehicle. Did you say you installed it yourself? If so where did you catch the door lock wire. Most are in the drivers kick. That is where I would start.

I am more familiar w/Prestige but that is not an uncommon problem.

I found the problem which was what I initially suspected, a bad relay. The vehicle is a 1989 Bronco and I installed two relays at the driver's kick panel. I removed the battery cables and unplugged each relay from their respective sockets. One of the tongues on one relay was corroded. I went to Autozone and purchased another one for $9.00. I intalled the new relay, reconnected the battery cables and tested the system. It works perfectly.

Now, I wish I knew why the thing falsed about a week ago. I suspect the proximity sensor. It wasn't very windy when it happened.

One thing I found that needed attention was the main battery cable, positive side had some corrosion and was not as tight as I thought it should be. I replaced the connector with a brass one, cleaned the battery post and used corrosion pads. I guess I'll just watch for the problem to reoccur.
