Dot Matrix

I am a newbie at this.

I hear some people talking abot dot matrix or the black vinal on the rear windows. they say use sand paper or steel wool. Do you tint over the matrix or do you sand it first then tint over

my question is just how to use the sand paper? do you sand all the dot matrix off or down? what should it look like when I'm done?

I seen one car that had the dot matrix on rear window and it looked funny to me, they tinited around the matrix.

how do you treat the black vinal (instead off the dot matrix it is just black- what is the correct word for this?) do you sand it? then tint over.

How do you prep for these type of windows?

dot matrix is a grid of black dots that can be hard to make tint stick. using black vinyl over the dot matrix area is a possible solution for dot matrix problems.

other than that, I don't know what you're talking about.
