OK I have tried to install vinyl onto my enclosed trailer but I cant get the crap to stick. :? I have cleaned it with ammonia, denatured alcohol, simple green and what ever else I have laying around and still cant get the vinyl to stick. Any ideas why it will not stick to the trailer?

What brand and # of vinyl?

Wet or dry application?

How old is the vinyl?

Are you applying it outside or in a shop?

What are the trailer sides made of?

Are they flat or coragated?

Does it have rivets?

How old is the trailer?

Are the trailer sides chalky?

I have been using different #s of Avery.

I have tried wet and dry.

The vinyl is about a month old.

Applying inside then moved to outside in the sun.

Trailer is made of aluminum.

Flat.

It does have rivets but that is not my problem/vinyl will not stick at all

Trailer is about 5 years old.

Yes the sides were chalky until I gave it a good shoot of simple green and wiped it down with denatured alcohol.

Trailer is made of aluminum.

If it is raw aluminum ( silver ) you may ( will ) have to put a clear primer or an adhesion promoter on it to seal it first. Aluminum has different chemicals in it making it not want to stick.

It is not you, it is the trailer. Any GOOD bodyshop can recomend what is available in your area to primer/seal it.
