Plotter Jams when cutting PPF

I have a new Graphtech FC7000-75 Cutter and have used it for about 6 weeks cutting vinyl with no problems. Now I'm moving into Venture Shield Paint Protection Film and I am having problems with the material jamming in the cutter around the cut head. I have everything alligned strait, adjusted the blade length, cut force, slowed down the speed, say a little prayer and push "cut". and each time it cuts a few feet and then binds up, ruining the film. anyone know what might be the problem? thanks Whitney

what blade are you using?

what are your settings for the graphtec?

I use the fc5100-100

I love it and havn't had any problems once I learned the settings.

TRY CUTTING JUST ON THE PULL..... the push will jam sometimes... Im not too familiar with it either and im just learning. I just bought a Graphtec 5100 and so far I like it. :coffee

did you resolve your problem?

I am looking at buying the same plotter for the same application so would be very interested in "what happened next"..!

Maybe the blade depth. :fdup

I.e. How far it sticks out of the holder

It should just barely, (by a few thousanths) come out of the holder.

I have a Graphtec FC 5100-75, it took me a while, messing with the settings to get what I needed, trial and error.

Unless you have tech support from whoever you bought it from.
