Anyone have wiring info for Town & Country

I know this vehicle requires a couple extra relays and a bunch of resistors to make things work properly. This van has a single wire door lock system that needs resistors installed for lock and unlock, and, from the data I have now, needs a resistor installed on the starter wire also.

I am trying to do an install estimate for a customer, but need an accurate wiring diagram for this vehicle before I can give an accurate estimate. I always like to have two sources of vehicle wiring diagrams for all of my installs, and I can only find one for this van.

If anyone has one, it would be much appreciated.

A little late but here is a DEI Sheet.

12volts lt. blue/red (10A) + ignition harness

Starter yellow + ignition harness

Second Starter purple/brown - ignition harness

Notes: The second starter wire is negative trigger thru a 180 ohm resistor. MUST use a relay. Refer to DirectFax document 1083 for wiring information.

Ignition pink/white + ignition harness

Second Ignition N/A

Third Ignition N/A

Accessory not required for remote start

Second Accessory N/A

Keysense N/A

Power Lock purple/dk. green - BCM, white plug, pin 21

Notes: Lock is negative trigger thru a 5.3K ohm resistor. Unlock is negative trigger thru a 2.0K ohm resistor. MUST use relays.

The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the driver kick panel near the parking brake. It has 5 plugs in it, one 6 pin plug and four 34 pin plugs.

Can also use Directed 456L interface modules.

Power Unlock same as power lock wire

Lock Motor tan/white 5wi BCM, green plug, pin 10

Notes: The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the driver kick panel near the parking brake. It has 5 plugs in it, one 6 pin plug and four 34 pin plugs.

Unlock Motor tan/lt. green 5wi BCM, green plug, pin 28

Notes: The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the driver kick panel near the parking brake. It has 5 plugs in it, one 6 pin plug and four 34 pin plugs.

Parking Lights+ white/brn (L), white/org ® + driver kick, harness to rear

Parking Lights- white/brown - switch or BCM, gray plug, pin 21

Notes: The parking lights are negative trigger thru a 2.1K ohm resistor. There is a rest resistance on the wire, so MUST use a relay to isolate away from the switch. See DirectFax document 1082 for wiring information.

The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the driver kick panel near the parking brake. It has 5 plugs in it, one 6 pin plug and four 34 pin plugs.

Hazards white/dk. blue - switch or BCM, gray plug, pin 31

Turn Signal(L) wht/lt blu (F), wht/dk grn ® + BCM, green plug, pins 1, 2

Turn Signal® white/tan (F), white/brown ® + BCM, green plug, pins 3, 4

Reverse Light white/lt. green + BCM, green plug, pin 9

Door Trigger see notes - BCM, white plug

Notes: The driver door trigger is purple in pin 6, the passenger door is purple/white in pin 7, the left sliding door is purple/gray in pin 8, and the right sliding door is purple/yellow in pin 5. Use all four wires and diode isolate each. Also have to diode isolate from the BCM. Refer to DirectFax document 1076 for wiring information.

Dome Supervision yellow/brown or yellow/white + BCM, white plug, pin 33

Trunk/Hatch Pin purple/orange - BCM, white plug, pin 29

Notes: A diode must be placed inline on this wire to avoid problems with the dome lights and parking lights.

Notes: Hatch release is negative trigger thru a 1.69K ohm resistor. MUST use a relay.

Power Sliding Door purple/dk. blue - BCM, white plug, pin 1

Notes: Left power sliding door is negative trigger thru a 1.5K ohm resistor. Right power sliding door is negative trigger thru a 2.7K ohm resistor. MUST use relays.

Thanks... I knew this one was kind of nasty with the single wire locks, resistor needed on the starter wire, etc. No problem with the timing on your reply, I needed it mainly to give the customer an accurate estimate... hopefully he schedules it.

You can also go directly to the relays on a lot of the little stuff or can use a mod. to eliminate some of the pain.

I added an extra hour for install time on this one. I would be happy to do it at the rate I quoted it for, even with the extra crap.

  Glare reduction primarily. I have a sedan in the country full of jacked up pickups with super bright headlights. I guess why I ask is I see a lot of people say factory glass is 70% then air80 (80%) would be like 70x0.8 = 56% which seems pretty dark. Does that sound accurate to you? thanks

  What is your goal for the FWS? How much risk are you willing to take? I did not care to ask to meter it. Going darker can make it hard to see something on the highway when driving at night like, debris, puddles(hydroplane), potholes, I don't know about you but I drive fast and I need to see the road. I just wanted solar energy rejection, and UV protection for leather interior.

  I have Air80 on FWS, 35% on 4 doors, 5% on 3rd row and hatch. I am happy rejecting some solar energy and having no visibility issues at night. The 15% you have will make the FWS look darker I assume. During the day it would not be a big difference, only at night. I know a FWS ticket is $$, I didn't want to give a bored cop an excuse to pull me over. Or have the chance to notice the FWS while being pulled over for something else. The less I talk to cops the better.

  Any impact from polishing, if the mar responds to polishing, would result in no or little visible trace. Anyone experienced in buffing glass will likely say, no guarantees; unless they've experienced the same mar on glass.

Both Plexi and Ploy may also be difficult to remove, if the need arises down the road mainly getting the adhesive of without damaging the surface. Both should not be warranted given the aforementioned potentials and these conditions should be discussed with the owner.
