Helps rear glass dry quick

didn't someone have an arcing problem when trying this? I remember a post about a shattered rear window, and if I'm not mistaken it was from doing this.

Not worth the risk in my humble opinion, it's going to dry anyway, why risk it?

Yes, but if I remember correctly, that was attributed to an error on install. If you re-cut the film around the defroster tab after installation, you run the risk of weakening the electrical connection between the tab and the defroster system. That produces major current over a pathway that's too thin, and therefore produces high heat in a concentrated area.

I used to work for a guy who pulled every car outside with heater running full blast and the the defroster on for like an hour, it was crazy, because every once and a while you'd have a car with a bad thermostat overheating in the parking lot, antifreeze everywhere..
