Howdy all,

A Google search for the possibility of bypassing the amps on the stock speakers in my 90 Maxiima brought me to this forum. I read were it was mentioned by someone that this was possible so that the speakers themselves could work with a standard amp system. Anyone have anymore details as to how this is done, or where I can find such details? I was a bit concerned about impedence compatibility among other things. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

under the back deck, on the drivers side you will find a little amp

there are input wires from the head and voltage, and speaker wires to the car

if you are going to power them with a seperate amp,

just connect the speaker wires to the amp to the wires at the stock amp

you can pop the speakers with a 9V battery

I thought the 4th generation (95-2000) were the first to get clarion amps

I dont know about 3rd gen '90 models :eyebrows
