I am a new shop owner and wanted to explore into some new tint manufactures. I currently use johnson, and occasianlly use llumar. I was sampled some sun guard and it was nice just priced high. I recentlyt got a flyer from soltel they are about 40 cheaper. do you get what you pay for or they comparable to what I use. ( I only use the metalic films that have the SO CALLED LIFETIME warranty

thanks

I have used only the gradient fader :DD from soltek

I don't like fader.....but some customers insist on it

it holds up far longer than the other gradient films I have used

.....it is not your ordinary PET film, it feels and shinks more like vinyl

I think even the liner is a polyethelene type it feels wierd too

they are a small film co, I couldn't even find them on the www

but I have had good results, from my very limited experience with it

but it does NOT shrink both ways, I havent found any film that does :DD

Shrinking both directions would suck.

Imagine how unpredictable that would be.

It would be alot easier but there goes the art form of tinting. :beer

shrinking is an art form...but...try doing a back window old school in 6-8 strips...and having your over lap consistan all the way across the defrost wires ...and not havin the over lap bigger on the ends becuze for the shape of the curved back glass...now that was art... :coffee ..you new school tinter down know how easy you guys have it.. :beer

im sure some of you old timers can relate to that.. :beer
