ok..I have been doing some number crunching today on just about ever residential film.

here is my situation...I did a resident a little bit ago and they want to add some more windows ..but he mentioned that they saw and add in decortive magazine...but he couldnt remember the name of it..and he said it was a film that wasnt as reflective as the film I used on the windows I did earlier.....I had an idea what film it was..but wasnt sure..

anyways...they are wanting a non reflective film...that is very light but blocks as much heat as possible...im not a huper or solargard(panarama) dealer so im not sure if I can go that rought...

so went to huper, llumar,SG,johnsons and sunteks web sites to get the specs on all there residential film..just to compare the films and the numbers.

I compared all the bronze and nutral films on each film 50%..being they want a light film.

after doing that...I really didnt see a big differance in the numbers ..maybe a few % here and there but that is it... I was thinking there would be a bigger diffence in the numbers

does a few % here and there really that big of a differance from one film to the next...I just dont think so....so...why the huge price differences in the films?..I just dont get it :coffee

ok...let the madness begin.. :lol2:spit

I don't think a few % points means squat...but that's me. :beer I rarely get numbers freaks though, most of the time they just ask me to choose after telling me what there main concern is. I call it "tinters choice" and I do most of my work that way. :hmmm:bling Hey, we know more than them anyway, why let the morons make a bad choice? That's what I tell em, but I usually leave out the moron part. :bat

that is why I stick to one or 2 companies for people to choose from, it would make people go nuts trying to choose a film. I thnk every company have different specs on they're films I have noticed, the only way to go is using that huper stuff, or panorama, or whatever. but of course customer would have to pay a pretty penny than normal..

Yeah, without a doubt. Just give them a list of Manu's web sites to prove what you're selling stacks up. I've done that for the occasional non-believing freak. :beer

What the hell fun is that? Sometimes confusing the hell out of a customer is more fun than collecting the check. :bling

Then there are those that get the old USSR treatment...2 choices, A or B, 35% or 50%, and we're out of 50%  :hmmm
