so we had a call about some bubbling from the customer for a car that was just tinted a few weeks ago and we told them to drop by and we'll check it out. the customer never came back and just reversed the charge with their credit card company without giving us a chance to fix the problem. is this legal? :spit

not sure -we talked about this awhile back but it was inconclusive

I think you can state your case with the cc company but its usually to no avail -thats why I didnt get set up to take those things this time

Its just another way for some coniving turd to screw you out of your money :spit

You can contact the credit card company and give them your side of the story. We had to do it one time since we started taking cards, for an auto repair my hubby did. It takes so frickin' long to get through to the credit card company though... I think what we did was just take it to small claims court locally. Let the county contact them and make sure you add on the charges that court costs will be included. That will scare them into paying.

I don't see how you can effectively not take credit cards in this day and age :spit

Agreed, but I also can't see how the bastards can reverse their card charges.

Hell, I'm going to Best Buy tonight and running a 10k bill, then tomorrow I'll reverse it and keep all the stuff. What a crock of shiat.

I'm with Blade, report it as a theft......

That credit card company was to contact you prior to removing funds.

I would follow through this with your credit card processor. This situtaion can cause problems for you down the road.

You could be charged a higher percentage or your processor can retain funds for a much longer time. That is what is in your contract with them.

exzactly, we had this happen once last summer, the credit card company contacted us and everything.

we redid 1 window just to make the jerk happy and the sad part is it was all his fault, he ripped a hole in his tint and blamed it on us, and used the credit card company to try to get at us, which worked.

any azz that uses a credit card can dispute the charge afterwards if they are not happy. some losers know this and will blatantly try and get their money back just because they know how to work the system.

Had a man stop payment on a check to get back at me for not agreeing with his view...

Had him served to show in court... within 20 minutes of a deputy showing up at his door he called and wanted to settle....

Comes down and is giving cash for the tint... I say, nope... you owe another 45 for court filing... he balks and I say, see you in court.

Man came back within minutes and paid in full.

I'd take the same steps and call this credit card abuser and loser's bluff...
