let the stabbings stop

I used to be a box stabber.

but after time, I found the blade tends to wobble (f'ing up that exact 18" cut on a 36" roll) and the box just looks shabby (not all that professional breaking a box out looking like swiss cheese)

so in refusing to spend 10 bucks on a tool suppliers solution and waste extra $ on stainless blades to use their contraption.....

I came up with my own...

flat single edge blades prob have the shortest life span of use. were gonna use em any way for prep work, why not milk their life span out a little longer.

paper clip with a small notch cut into it .... 30 cents.

having perfect cuts (even mulitiple cuts at the same time), without haggard boxes, priceless.

heres some pics

theres already a product out there.

its got tap screws to hold it in place on the box and to hold the blade in place.

after a couple of rooms of flat glass I know im already pruning up. wet, soggy, soapy fingers prob wouldnt work the screws too well.

my version, just straddle th blade with your index and middle finger, thumb on the back, pinch and it'll slide up and down the length of the box.

You have to use the larger sized ones don't you?

I got mine from an assortment pack. they were the medium sized ones. the loop matched up the best with the hole in the blade.

im sure theres plenty of other variations of this idea to come. varying from clip to clip.
