I was just wondering what brand, style of files you guys use. Also any practical technique that you have found that works best. :poop

fine tooth file, most distributors will have them, 44 tools and filmhandler do, so does home depot, and lowes

OK, but what about style, round, half round , knife or flat. Also size 6 inch ( I can see how this could take a bad turn) or smaller? :poop

I use either a triangle or half round.

usually an 8" and thats being overly generous. :poop

"Nicholson" points files work well, flat and about 4" long, try a few youll find one that you like :thumb

I assume you are talking about the top edge of roll up windows?

The best way I've seen is to just leave a small overlap...an 1/8th inch or so...let it set up, then trim it with a razor blades edge at about a 45 degree angle. If there are any rough spots after that, an emory board will knock it down well.

I tried a small bastard file and it works OK, but the razor is much quicker and cleaner.
