Never burn door trim again

I think most of us have got door gaskets ect. a little to hot before or melted mirror trim on fords trucks.

Next time instead of using the heat gun ,try your steamer. It gives even heat and wont make gaskets shiney or smoke and it wont fry interiors.

This works great for heating up the bottom of roll ups and also the tops of roll ups before you shave them

nice tip, its too bad you can heat shrink with a steemer.

but I have in a pinch used it to heat the glass and never really thought about the safty part

I do have a couple of question though... will it make the film curl away from the window Do you use on the inside or the outside of the glass or both

I have though about it before, but how long does it take to warm up a steamer? mine about 10 mins.

I can't wait that long. mayb emy handheld one at teh house warms up quicker.

I havent had a problem with film curling when using the steamer on the inside or outside

Well its been a month, whats the verdict?

I fire up the steamer at the end of the tint job and look for trouble spots.

I also use a microfibre towel to wipe away the condensation so I can see what im working on.

It has been great for heating up the bottom of rollups on the outside to set the film before you park the car out in the winter weather.
