I am interviewing an accountant on Monday I am looking for some good questions to ask. :lol6

Have an eight year olds birthday party to go to now but will check in latter. :lol6

the way I found mine was through a friend that vouched for him. He is always helpful with advice and suggestions that help me to not end up paying all my money to the IRS. A good accountant should be able to show you how to write off as much as you possibly can and to get the best tax return possible.

You should save all receipts for everything, including meals and bar tabs. You get to write off stuff like taking out a potential client for drinks or dinner. So make sure you file all your receipts faithfully.

You are so right about keeping good records; it makes all the difference in the world. The guy I am settling with is what is called an enrolled agent. He is not a CPA but has an accounting degree and specializes in the tax code. I figure I will give him a try and see how things go.
