Window Film Depot Revisted

When Window Film Depot started recruiting tint shops for installs a few years ago, most of the people on this site were against the concept with a couple willing to try it. I was wondering how things turned out?

Anyone having success working with them? Are the profits worth the headache of not knowing what to expect on installs?

Any horror stories or new outlooks on the Window Film Depot business model???

I know they are working with Budget Blinds. I was installing blinds for a local franchise and paying the salesman commision for leads on film jobs. The boss cut me out because I would not sell the jobs for $XX. The salesman prefer to give me the job direct because they make much better money. He was basically a cheapskate.

I heard they were trying to set-up contracts with several national companies, but Budget Blinds is the only one I keep hearing about.

Did one job, that was enough for me Too many fingers in the pie and the user agreement is one sided IMHO . Just my I hear some have done well with it though.

We have done a few jobs with them in the past, won't do anymore. Just like pmuzik said, to many fingers in the pie.

It also took them forever to pay. The last job we did it took us over 6 months to get the paid.

we've done several jobs for 'em. no problems at all and all good money makers that were well worth it.
