have you seen it or did the customer just call about it

see the lying customer thread yesterday and dont get to defensive?

Is it on the outside of inside below the tint? or is it on the tint?

:)

make sure you have the customer come in for a lookie see. but to impress the customer, call a glass shop and try to line up a place to replace the glass so when they get there, and IF YOU NEED TO, you have the glass lined up and ready to go :angel

an dif its not your fault, you can recomend the glass shop to the customer, and save the customer some time.

Probably COULDN'T see it until it was tinted.

Should have seen the pitting and scratches on the work truck window I just tinted. Had about 30 little pits followed by a small scratch. Invisible until tint was over them.

Once the window has new film on it, the customer no longer looks through the glass, Thay are now looking at the glass and see problems that they swear were not there.

We run into that with residential. Customer now sees scratches that were not there before. Funny thing, these scratches are on the outside.

Prior to installing, always do an expection and document what you see. When I did auto, we created a form with a vehicle diagram. We would mark areas where scratches, dents, and dings were. It is called CYA.

It was there just hard to see without tint. I have had this problem a couple of times. I have them bring it back in, strip and clean the door and show them no scratch then tint it in front of them so they can see it appear. Works everytime.

yes scratches tend to show up more when film is applied.

that is why upon starting the job, if you noticed a visible scratch way before installing film, I suggest you call customer and let them know before you dig yourself a hole you never started.
