even thought there is 72 inch rolls I still see alot of seems.

it depends on the circumstances, I either butt or overlap, mainly butt on residential and overlap on commercial.

This best way to seam, in my opinion...

Butt-seam...Overlap the film by several inches. Then place a long metal ruler in the overlap, start at the top and cut a straight line all the way to the bottom. Remove the top piece first, then remove the strip underneath wetting as you go. Resqueegee, being careful not to go side to side. You will hardly notice it if done this way.
