I was curious what brand of tint you (the professionals) were using. :poop And also how often do you throw messed up sheets away? I was trying to imagine how unprofitable it must get with really difficult glass that takes 3 tries and 3 times the ammount of time quoted. and how does the 2 ply compare with single? harder to work with, worth the extra money? etc

my exploder 20% on back 5 windows, 35% on front 2

I wouldn't know as 99.99% of my jobs are done right the first time. But then again, I have over 15 years of window tinting experience so I shouldn't make a comment.

As for window film, just stick with a name brand and you should be fine. Better yet, buy the cheapest stuff so you can learn without wasting alot of your money and when you get better and actually decide to make this a living, then buy the good stuff so it won't come back and haunt you.

yep, that about sums it up. that's why we window tinters don't make but $5.65 an hour.

:hmmm when you get good, this doesnt happen. I have been tinting for 15 years now and I can go weeks without messing any film up. that comes with over 100,000 cars done in that time period. now back when I was on my 10th car I can still remember ripping the film off and starting over and thinking this job blows.
