new gaskit on a ram

Tinted a 03 ram 1500 today. I pulled the door panels and then the sealing strips to felt them. From the top they looked the same. Pulled the gaskits and lord and behold, THERE WAS FELT ALREADY THERE. Have ya seen this yet?

how about this shiot. I check the gaskets on a 2002 ram, the front doors have no felt, the back ones do. :dunno the next one I get in, is a 2003, the front pass door has no felt, the rest do. :dunno check the next 2003 I get in, all the doors have felt. :beer

I think all the 2003 dodges are supposed to have felt now. that's what I'm told anyway.

the gaskit that I am speaking of is not the gaskit that you have to have a 8000lb Warn winch to get out. It is just like the one that is easy to remove except that the side that rides against the glass has felt on it. You cant see the felt unless you pull back the gaskit away from the glass or remove the gaskit.

that's what I'm talking about. I've done about 50 of these trucks, and they're all different. it's like dodge has a bin full of different gaskets from past cars and they just pick one that fits and put it on.

I don't worry if they have felt or not, tuck the gasket tintem and send em down the road, if they scratch pay me and I'll redue them otherwise don't complain because dodge can't spend 50 cents more on there trucks to have nice soft gaskets!

      Lucid Air- tinting issues

      We finished the car and the rear doors are really the only issue. The panel needs to be removed, then the power screen has to be removed, then you need plug the screen back in and leave the panel off. The window can be nudged up and down from the driver door. This is how we did it, if anyone has a better way, please share.

      I'm half way through tinting a Lucid Air and just thought I would give you all a heads up. The rear doors on this model have screens which are in the way. Even if you tint with panels on, it will be a problem. There's a wide rubber molding that is also in the way. Add in $$ for time and effort.
