Doors squeeking on bmw

Recommended Posts

Buddy of mine had his 03bmw 325xi tinted a few weeks ago.His front drivers door is sqeeking when he rolls it up/down.He did take it back to the tint shop but they couldn't fix it.I did a search for him here &saw someone suggested spraying silicone, he did it but it didn't work :hmmm .Finally he took it to the dealer & they took the panel off & said motor & regulator were fine too, & they feel it's the tint causing the noise :lol2 Any one have anyother suggestions besides taking the tint off:hmmm Thanks

It has a biplane style weatherstrip configuration. Even if you only tried to tuck the top moulding, you may have pushed down the lower one too. Hence the squeek. :hmmm

If the panel has been pulled already, then I don't have an answer

the simple use of water/baby shampoo as the solution to tint windows, can cause the inner weather seals that rub the glass when rolling up and down, can cause it to be to "dry" and creat the squeeky noise. spray some wd40 and problem solved hopefully. :hmmm
