im thinking of tinting my 2004 lexus sc430 silver w/black interior..

I usually go to this shop in staten island(had my last 2 cars done there) that does a great job and they use johnson films(ive read mixed reviews about this) exclusively..

automotive toy store http://www.automotivetoystore.com

http://www.johnsonwindowfilms.com/AUTO.php

On my last car I had the johnson executive series put on, 21% on back/sides and 35% on the front windshield. Its a fully metallic film. It looked great but caused problems with my EZ-PASS & GPS(alpine system w/dash mounted antenna)

What do you all think the best film to use is? I sort of like the metallic look..

How dark should I go? Should I do the windshield too? Will it look stupid with the top down and windows up?

Anyone have any issues with the film? Im concerned about problems with the stock gps and ez-pass. as far as radar detector, ill be putting in a k40 blueteeoth calibre system(detectors mounted on front & rear bumpers) so that wont be an issue.

anyone have any recommended installers in the NY area? Im stayin in long island for the summer & usually in staten island on the weekends. I might go back to the shop I usually goto, unless theres better installers w/better film...I want the best for my car..

ive also have a problem in the past of the passenger side window rolling down really slow compared to the drivers side window after tinting..

If you want something with good heat rejection that will not Interfere with your GPS and etc.

You have two choices

1. Huper Optik Nano-Ceramic

2. Madico Advanced Ceramic

Pictures of Huper Optik Nano-Ceramic on a couple Beamers - Can't find any Huper pictures on here. Someone upload please.

For more information on each Tint SEARCH forum.

By the way, all dyed tints will not interfere with GPS systems. -To my knowledge.

But they do not block the heat from the sun like Metallic tints and these two tints.
