I use the blue scotch pads from WM also. I use them for any window that is not obviously contaminated beyond. You learn to feel the worst of grime and scrub that spot more. It really doesn't matter to me that there might be some small speck missed by this technique as no matter what is done there is always some sort of shizt in the tint.

For back glass I use a "scrubber" and a piece of 0000 steel wool with sprayway glass cleaner. Then I wipe it off clean with a paper towel. Whole window including dots. I then use my mount solution and squeege clean......

I also use the blue scubbies on flat glass....unless the window is just really nasty.

White ones here for the back glass, razor blade all the rest.

Does everybody use blades on the newer SUV's with ( what I call ) The factory tinted privacy glass? Like about 10 years ago they use to have a reflective quality to them, and they would scratch using blades.

Bring this up from the past... sorry...

but have you guys tried These scrub pads??

I used to use Chore Boy scrub pads that had a rubber like scrubbing surface, but they aren't being made anymore. After switching to scotch brite, I realized that sometimes the little fibers break off onto the window and every now and then, one wouldn't squeegee off perfectly and get stuck under the film. You could tell it was that and not a piece of felt because it was small and curly (leave your perverted jokes out of this thread! :lol2 )

However, I found these scrub pads that don't have those little hairs as the scrubby thing. They work great! Not only do they do a great job at scrubbing, but there is no fiber material that can break off. Good scrub pad.

I use the Blue Scotch Brite Sponges from Walmart, and sometimes use ScotchBrite pads with no sponge.

The sponges are what I've gotten used to, I like the way they grip.

Anything without defrost/antenna gets razor blade.

Reasonable care with blades doesn't scratch glass. Using old, bent, or rusty blades does.

FYI be very careful on those older Bentleys like around 04 models Arnage and such, the glass on those can easily scratch even with a brand new blade. Also some older Jags like late 80's early 90's. Hope this saves somebody's a$$. Basically anything with the Triplex logo I'm careful with.
