Edge prep

Do you usually just scrape the window with a triumph or do you use a 4" and scrape the edges and then triumph. Did a job today on some Nu-airs and the marble size globs of putty in the corners had to come out, but many of the windows I do are 20-30 year old Miami crankouts and egding with a 4 inch usually takes no more than an hour, and makes for a cleaner install. How much time do most of you spend prepping edges on an average 200-300 FT install?

dont know about the time it adds to the install, I know it does add time but if there is alot of silicone on the edges then I will use the 4inch scraper and run it along all the edges to get the glue. It doesnt take all that much more time, it does add about 3-4 minutes to the install of that one pane but it will come out alot cleaner and even. The triumph blades will break if you try and use them to do this.
