my first tinted car was a 1979 Olds and it was 5% on doors with double layered 15% on the rear 3. W/S strip was down about 12 inches in the middle and had a wave roll to the bottom edge. I drove into the sun and had it lower in the middle......the "drip strip" been there done that back in 1989.....

anyway, I would have my car with 5% all around and probably 35% on the windshield with a low strip. I have oakley black irid polarized lens glasses and they are a 9% vlt....with those and my 5% rear it really isn't dark enough for me now.....very light sensitve....

so 5% on everything with 35% on the windshield full

2.5% on rear. I have a sliding rear window so I can open it to see.

15% on the sides.

70% on the windshield with a 5% brow on the top.

Yes bloody fantastic stuff....faded to crap but in all the thousands of cars I'd done, there might have ben 3 rear screen failures.

If there were no tint laws...

35% side and rear windows and a 20% front windshield visor about 14 inches down.

some people don't like visors, but I love em. when I was young, stupid and still learning to tint I had a 14 inch 5% visor on my car and I loved it. It lasted about 3 months before I got stopped and had to peel it.
