92 Cutlass

Guest Qveon

Recommended Posts

Ok so I am practicing on my mom's 92 cutlass and I got it to go flat all the way up to 1/4inch on the bottom corner where it just kept pulling away.

I tried not heating it, I tried heating it. I used baby powder and that worked the easiest.

How DO you shrink that bottom section or do you have any advice? Thanks

Good luck, this is by far one of the most :dunno back windows out there, nothing about it will be easy, it CAN be done, but most people here charge $400 bucks to scare cutlass owners away, good luck

yes, it MUST be shrunk, that car is a bear's ass.....it should be laying 'flat' on the outside....or it just won't stick on the inside....I think what the others are talking about, is when you get it inside and squeegee it out, the bottom corners won't stick to the glass, and will keep falling unless you heat the p1ss out of it while you're squeegeeing it..er......hammering it down. :hmmm (hope this helps...and I wish you luck) I've only done 4 of those...the first one I did in 2 pieces, and it looked horrible, I gave cust. the option to take it off or leave he, he didn't care.....the second one, I couldn't shrink at all, had a friend do it for me :thumb and the other 2 were 1 piece and looked awesome....:lol I don't get them very often and don't really like tinting them, so I charge way too much. I'd rather do the saturns....in fact, I have one of those :hmmm good luck Q
