Hi just got a quick question, been tinting a few mazdas lately and one thing ive noticed is on doors, either front or rear, I tint them, finish the window off, put the door panel back on, everythings good, then let the car sit for half and hr and usually its one door out of the car on average, a spear will pop out from the bottom, like it will come thru where the felt/rubber is along the bottom, there usually only small spears like an inch long, sometimes u can just push them down with a corner card, other times they wanna keep popping back up. any ideas? ive asked the other tinter he rekons its coz of the colder weather (its winter in australia) and the tint being fresh, have any of u's got anymore ideas just that its frustrating for the boss because he dosnt want to return the car back to the car yard then a spear pops up on a door after we have returned the car, so lately we have been like leaving the cars sit for abit b4 we return them to the car yard.

try leaving the panels off while the tint dries. when you know for sure put em back on.

maybe even a little heat :dunno

nothin worse than takin a car back to the car yard and a finger pops up after you leave.... :heh

good luck :hmmm

If it's the M3 sedans/sports..shouldn't have a problem and panels don't have to come off, just pull them back.

If it's the M6's or RX8's, then I would recommend pulling the panels + heat forming the tint prior to install to eliminate the problem..I do many of these cars , never had to heat a single finger :dunno

ok in reply to tintwizard I tint all types of mazdas at the moment, mazda 2,3 and 6's , rx8's, mx5, tributes and bravos .. the main ones that we have trouble wif spears popping up on after their tinted would defiently be the mazda 3 and 6's both sedan and hatchbacks.

in reply to solarspot ill give it a try 2morrow but the only thing is the spears pop up right at the bottom so im im putting heat on the outside along the bottom im gonna not be able to heat it up to low or ill burn the rubber along the bottom edge
