Not Exactly Flat......Skylite

I finally got a call in regards to tinting a domed sky lite, approx 2ft x 4ft. Is this possible? How exactly do you prevent it from fingering. Will I have problems with it staying down against the curved portion. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If this subject has been covered already, I apologize. Thanks

If it's curved..odds are it's plexiglass which means you can't tint it

I'm not at home so I don't have my notes, but isn't there a way to tint plexi? I thought a film company has a film you can use before putting on the tint.....

Even if you could, why would you want too go down that road?

You can tint plexi, but not the curved skylights.

I'm distributing skylight heat blockers made with 80 or 90% shade fabrics. They are installed with specially designed clips that give a clean look and stop the heat from comming in. Removable too, for the winter months... email me at oktint@hotmail.com if you need one

Yeah, I've heard of doing plexi with a specialty film, but why go through so much for something that will give you so much more heartache!

yea just do the solar shade that goes over the skylight. It is alot less hassle and works well considering.

Thanks all. I guess if I used a little common sense I should of relized curved skylights are made of plexi. I believe the screen product would work the best and still cheap enough to make a profit (just upmark the price and charge to install) Hopefully the location is not too high on the roof. I am a little scear'd on roofs. I'm not about to risk my ability to walk on a small payday. Thanks again guys....
