Why must people lie???

This could just be some people who aren't informed.... but I dunno...

I pay most of my bills via online pay systems... I paid my business insurance bill like that, but I selected the wrong account for the check to be drawn on. I was out of town for a few days and didn't see the check had bounced. (If I catch it the same day I can just transfer the funds and my bank will pay it)

Of course they cancelled the policy. No biggie. I log into *their* website and pay via an e-check.

I get an email from my agent saying that the insurance company got the payment, but since this months is late it was cancelled again.

I emailed him back and said that was impossible because I had to make a double-payment when I paid.

Get an email back and he said he checked and they got both payments and as soon as the check clears they will activate the policy again.

I replied back - why the delay? My bank account shows they electronically got the money last week.

I am going to assume that my agent was being misinformed by the insurance company, but if they got the money via an e-check, there is no reason to wait. Let alone the fact they got the money a week ago.

I don't get it... I don't claim that I've never lied but I mean come on... is it really that hard to tell the truth??

I had two other people (adults) lie about important things within the past few weeks and I'm really getting sick and tired of it.

One thing I do know and have come to realize is that a LIAR is always a THIEF and a THIEF is always a

LIAR. I dont need people like that around me or my family.

I think the truth is much more fun than a lie, and alot of the time way more interesting.
