sunstrips

Recommended Posts

I see the ones where folks dont cut the strip and its low on the sides and not in the top so I cut this one to follow the factory lines just an inch or two lower. I know everyone here does em this way, I am just wonderin what tools are around to help with the cut. It was a PITA to cut it nice all the way. I ended up marking the lines and folding it over an cutting it. Any suggestions??? :lol2

its my car, I didnt go do a photo shoot with someones ride cause I did a sunstrip. :lol

and the windows arent down to hide any illegal tint :duck seriously... I havent done em yet!

Personally, I use the end out of a roll of tint. I hold my knife on the bottom and use it as a guide.

Then I move it up or down to where I need it, finish off the edges, trim it out, slap it on.

ahhhh yes...zolars post helped, I knew thats what you were asking. that tool looks like a good idea but I just slide the film up to the top edge...cut it...pull it down to where I need it and cut out as usual

how bout just using a ruler dan, it slides along the top also, it'll give you measurements too

your right zolar it does look faster than cutting, wetting, resticking, recutting :duck

I have had moderate success with a big Fairgate triangle

mine is radiused a bit, and even works on dodges and stuff without a rubber trim to follow

still takes a little getting used to :duck
