Guest fredstinting
anyone into building custom car stereo boxes? no one in this area does it and I was thinking about adding that along with your general car stereo stuff. anyhow I was just wondering if anyone knew of a web site or had any info on the PROPER way to build and calculate for air space... thanks! anything you need to know about sub woofer box calculating you need to get a book called the loud speaker design cook book will help you in building more than a square box I have alot of info from where I went to installer institute here a the metra factory in holly hill florida back in 1992 you need to get mecp certified shows the customers that you know what your doing here is a web site that can help http://www.the12volt.com/default.asp it will help the not alot experience install a little better but you still need to know the basics of sub woofer boxes building to calculat air space is simple 12x12x12 = 1728 this is calculation of inches to cubic feet so you have 3 cubic ft of space in a car truck which is this 15x15x23 = 5175 take answer devide 1728/5175 = 2.9 cuft of air space any question email me at fredstinting@yahoo.com
