Which Eastman Tints and PPF are from China?
Spotted them on a list of companies with perfect 100 woke score the other day. Stopped using them a few years ago, no incentive to start again now. -

Haze after Llumar IRX install
Exactly. Much like most polarized sunglasses make it impossible or hard to see heads up displays. If I use sunglasses that allow me to see the heads up display I don't get this effect with the window film. -

While you can't fight the outsourcing of part of the products/steps in the film manufacturing world, I think the best option instead of trying to stay "US made" is going with a product that has a solid foundation and reputation. Whether they outsource or not is really not the issue if the their product is solid and not going to cause the installer/dealer any money on the backend. Eastman has spent MANY years acquiring this part of the process and that part, until they could FINALLY say (after many name changes ) that they have all the steps to manufacture film. Basically they have been trying for many years to live up to what Garware has already accomplished. -

Just dish soap is fine, you do not want to use any solvents. -

Companies like this are in the interest of pleasing their shareholders, not doing what's best for the country. -

double layer + absorption ?
Do not apply two layers of tints on front windscreens, the clarity (safety) is compromised due to the additional layer of adhesive system. Do not apply two layers of tints on rear windscreens. You just need the driver to leave the defogger lines activated for a while longer on several occasions, the risk of bubbling or delaminating on rear windscreen’s tints will be higher. An additional layer over an existing tint will always have more contaminants trapped . We should always recommend R&R if the vehicle owner seeks darker shades.
