I need some help! I installed a back glass for a friend of mine and after 2 days 2 little fingers (about an inch tall) are popping up at the bottom of the back glass. Yesterday, I heated them w/the gun from the outside and was able to push them down with a hardcard and they disappeared. He called me today and said that they are back!!!

What can I do to get these little fingers to stay down? Any techniques/tips that anyone can give me would be great. Should I heat them up again and hold them down for awhile like a did yesterday????????????

There must be an echo around here....split the son of a bitch and be done with it.

Get back to basics!

Yeah, I was a little nervous about cutting and burning the top, but it came out unscaved.

I'd rather not 2 piece it, but if I have to - should the split be on the defroster line closest to the middle of the window? Or, would it be better to go higher or lower on the window?

My buddy was unavailable yesterday, so I didn't get a chance to repair it.

Do it in one piece, that window is tiny, do like willie said, shrink the bottom, scoot it down a little, shrink the top, reposition it, and cut it out, if your other piece was a good cut just shrink a new one, remove the other piece and use it as a template to cut the new one. :?:bingo:thumb:thumb:thumb:thumb

:bingo but then again what do I know
