just got a call from a tinter looking for work

Just had a guy call me looking for work after 16 years he shut down his biz after loosing his 2 biggest dealers after another stab in the back by a film manufacture (basically you can teach a monkey to tint with computer cut) we all know there is no skill involved

thats funny, I spent 13 1/2 years at dealerships for 30+ an hour and decided after 9+ years of doing side work it was time to go on my own been at it almost 2 years now and I don't ever wanna go back to dealerships

Like the industry is not bad enough already with hacks now we have thousand of cars dealers putting half azzed tint jobs on the street just making cosnumers belive even more that tint sux and does not last

I hear ya I will do dealer work but very little and when I do I work them around my retail customers

I currently work for a dealer and believe me I make WAY more than $6/hour.

closer to 5x that. I also get medical ins, 401k, paid days off, paid vacation. not all dealers suck

bottom line is the dealer gets the same quality installation they always got, I make more, they pay less.

from a shop owner perspective I understand your cries. but as an installer you I couldn't get a better deal
