Apply with a blowdryer

the film she is talking about is an insluation kit. Film is applied to the window frame trim with double sided tape and when up you use a hair dryer to make it nice and tight. I did some back in the day and I used my heat gun, but I knew how to use a heat gun........

I have seen that and know what you are talking about but she is confusing it with WINDOW FILM. :twocents

I believe she is referring to a product call ?visqueen?. It?s commonly used in the colder states. I used it when I was living in Utah for while, it really does work. But if applied properly, you can still open your windows?but why would you want to if for the very reason you have it on in the first place. :twocents

yea that the stuff. we have never used it but I have seen it b4.

you use the blow dryer to make the material tighter across the frame after it is up so that there are not sags in it. wouldn't recommend a heat gun because it left in one place for too long the high heat from it would deform the material. it doesn't touch the glass at all.

Yes, that is what they are referring too. The problem is that they are calling it "Window Film". :hump
