It would be darker than 5%.

From the outside, it would appear to be the same.

IMO, 1% to 15% give the same appearance from outside. DARK.

Only from the inside could you tell a difference.....reduced visibility.

-The reason why I asked is I know someone who did it.

-I also know someone else who has a newer denali and as you know they are 20% in the rear stock, and clear on the front. He then got 5% over the 20% stock in the rear, then had 20% done in the front and 5% over that. He also had his winshield tinted 35%-you cant see in AT ALL. Nor can you see out very well lol.

I covered the rear of my jeeps factory tint with 35% and it meters about 7% now.

Front in 35% also, it meters @ 33.2%.

15% over 15% would be too dark IMO.

-Where can you purchase one of those meters besides the internet? I want to get one or borrow one so I can meter my friends car to find out what two layers of 15% really is.

15%X15%= .15X.15

.15X.15=.0225

.0225=2.25%

So, double 15 would come out too about 2.25%

.....just black vinyl the windows.....cheaper, and same result.
