The reason I say PS adheasive is that CDF tends to tunnel and suck in contaminates. If you get a nice clean prep and pre-cut PS pieces you can squeege them down and they stay down. Hard card after you squeege and you are done.

there is no need to use air or a brush. When you clean the glass do this

take a paper towel and wipe all the edges

wet window and clean making sure all the edges are a strait as possible

after you get done scraping wipe all the edges down

wet window and wipe edges again and squeegee off all water

then wipe edges again

(before you do all this you need to precut the film)

then wet the film only and not the glass and apply the film

try not to use alot of water on the film, just to where you know there wont be any dry spots

tack it in the middle like a cross

then start at the bottom and go up

after you seal the bottom quickly hard card it with a papertowel and then start going toward the top and have a paper towel handy when you push the water out to the side so you can soak up the water before it runs down the side and gets sucked back in at the bottom.

Although my reply to any consumer, has and always will be, "It is in keeping with the film (product) manufacturer's recommended installation requirements and... if installed up to or against the frame, would subject this installation to a null and void warranty. How would you like me to proceed?"

OOohhh... good one. I'm going to remember that. Thank you.

when I first started I had problems with these types of windows I rememeber on one job we taped off all the frames with blue tape, but be sure to use the tape that is 14day release or longer, the adhesive is not as aggressive and wont pull off the varnish.
