Guest TheStott
Hello, newly getting into the business. It's a combined Auto/Flatglass film application business. Also have windshield repair as an add-on. I just got off the phone with an inurance agent who said that it's probably not in my best interest (financially) to insure my small, one man operation as an LLC. He compared the amount of insurance I would be paying for vs. the amount of damage that could happen to someone's property. Instead, he advised that I insure my truck under the business that way any collisions would be covered (a personal policy will deny a claim for an accident that happened during the course of a day that you conducted business). I'd like to hear from anybody with a mobile-based operation. Do you have sole proprietorship or an LLC? How much insurance do you carry, and how much does it cost you? Thanks.
