TX is 25% NET....which means that you are already pretty well as dark as legal would be. 35% film and 70% glass would be about there. Sorry to bust your bubble if you thought you would be able to do anything better.

Exactly :thumb:gasp

Some make a 30% but on most vehicles it will make you illegal

I know of one 30% tint that was metering around 24.5 but its best to have 35% to make sure your good to go :thumb

Take your vehicke to a tin tshop and ask them to put their light meter on your windows, chances are your gonna be close to the 25% net law with what you have.

You see almost all vehicles these days have 70% tint in the clear glass, you may think its clear but they have slight tint from the factory, this tint is mixed in with the glass during the manufacturer process.

Now what happens is when you put 35% film over your glass that has 70% alreadiy in it, it will read close to that 25% you are talking about.

If you just put 25% on your windows it would read alot lower than 25% and that would be illegal. You MAY be able to put 30% on the glass and still stay above the 25%.

But for us guys doing this everyday 35% film over 70% factory tint = 24.5 which rounded up is 25% NET they key word here is the "NET". Net is the combined reading of the film and glass together.
