anyone know how to remove the top plastic piece at the top of the windshield?

havent done one yet, but a customer told us that they took a lot of body parts off to get to the windshield. I think he paid 800 also, but insurance covered it.

yeah the body panels are off that need to be, except for that upper panel

searching other autoglass forums we found some answers. most say to just replace the upper panel. we found a way to remove it safely and reuse it with no problems. if any of you glass guys need to know just pm me and I can let ya know what to do.

other than was it pretty hard to replace?

Hey Ash, what did you think about the FJ while you were working on it? I was thinking about trading in my old car for one maybe this summer. Did it seem well built?

I call it a rolling blindspot other than the blindspots they're very nice vehicles. I've done several and like them more and more everytime I work on one. but I've read alot about how bad they are for getting rockchips on the windshield. owners seem to go through windshields like mad. I don't know what would make em worse than jeep wranglers or any other vehicle with a verticle windshield but I've read lots of complaints about that. otherwise nothing but good about them.

blind spots everywhere! I drive these from a dealer an exit away from us, I dont , but I think they're are ugly. might as well get a hummer instead. cause it seems like a mini hummer
