Thats why I use them and them only for the most part. That and I only do about one warranty job every two years :beer

The manufacturer IS picking up the film warranty and the labor payment that goes with it... They will not pick up the entire cost for the equipment rental. They only cover a maximum amount per warranty claim for equip rental. The distributor is going to pick up half of the remaining tab though, which is cool, but I didn't feel I should be responsible for any of it as I am providing dirt cheap labor.

It's GOTTA suck 2 B U!!! I wouldn't do it for cheap!! :beer:beer

For real, count your blessings that the manufactuer is paying! I hate those old industrial jobs though, and then being in a scissor lift and removing film, too! :thumb Forgetaboutit!!

Put a stick in it. Really. Put the triumph blade on a stick for better leverage. Power the film off and then clean up the glue.

What are you replacing it with? Why won't it go bad as well? sounds like if the customer didn't mistreat it, then there is something in the environment or placement of the film that is causing it to fail.

We've actually only had six warranty claims since 1985 ... Three of them we caught right out of the box and two were low-e film on skylights (a no-no). I;m just dreading the aging of all those life time warranties :thumb
