To me on your rollups it sounds like you are letting the film hit the side gasket or you are sucking up some felt. Film needs to touch the glass only, if it rubs up against the side gasket you are more than likely going to get some contamination.

I think micro is on track-and maybe your patterns are a little too large...could be the car is extremely dusty. Old cars take technique...and practice.

try to keep the doors open all the time the more you open and close the doors the more dust you stur up
