I've been usingthis method for yrs now removing old tint in the wintertime. I bring the car in the garage to get to room temperature, then I use the black garbage bag tech. , use my 45000 btu badboy and cook the film on the outside of the car till I see the bargage bag start to boil on the inside of the car. The key to not exploding the window is moving the heat evenly and not to take a cold window and do this. I've stripped enough back glass's in below freezing weather to say it works great...and have never broke a window..film always comes off in 1-2 sheets..the best part is no matter how deteriorated the film is I'm removing..it has never had the layers seperate...as I say, I'll post a pic of this thing next week when I get my new comp.

The torch shrink has been around a long time already

It's not a torch..it's heat is powerful like one, but more distributed than a torch , therefore much less likely to blow a back glass . It's made by colman, they are selling for about $150..they are an industrial space heater, so you need ventilation when using it for long periods of time. Good for stripping back windows and personal fun too..(sitting on the porch with a couple of buddies with a few pints on a cold night in your shorts)
