Flat glass - how to land a sale?

Recommended Posts

You are right OT, the plants might go through a small shock because of removing a small amount of visible light. The actual light they feed off of still flows through. Most times they do better because alot of the heat is gone.

Get one of thosed cheap color change UV test cards.  YOu may be surprised.

TSlut,

I had some of those UV cards that were supplied with Ray-ban sunglasses but they stopped working for some reason and we had to throw them out. Very odd. :hmmm

When they worked with a bit of film laid partially over the area to be exposed, it was most impressive for the customer.

I think you are confusing the type of UV. UV-A is blocked by most glass. The UV we are discussing is the fading UV, UV-B

ER... correction... most UVB is blocked by glass, UVC by the ozone and any remaining UVB & the bulk of UVA is blocked by the film's polyester and UV absorbers.

What are some tips to help close more sales?!?!

You could pick up some software, say Thomas Registry (not inexpensive), and you can get the names, phone numbers and addresses of everyone on the same street, get referral permission from the first client, send a mass mail specifically targeting the neighbors and encouraging them to view the house you have just completed.

Brrrrrinnnng!

all glass also cut 99% of UV.

:thumb Maybe laminated glass. Get one of thosed cheap color change UV test cards. YOu may be surprised.

The quality of the lami (PVB or equivalent) determines the ability to absorb UV. It can vary dramatically, but most falls within 95-99% absorption.

That doesn't sound like a bad idea.. I did a search on yahoo and didn't come up with anything. The only results thus far are geared towards commerical businesses and not residential addresses.
